HERE’S THE NEW BLOG. 👈👈 Go follow me over there.
Thank you. <3 I’m glad I could be an inspiration to you.
I’m not leaving though. I’m literally just moving blogs. You can follow me on the new one for all I really care– I’m sure a lot of my followers here are inactive now, in any case.
Most people really don’t. Personally I don’t have an issue with it. There are some people who get super… upset.. when non-mutuals try to interact with them (which is a bit stupid imo) but for the most part, not following back doesn’t really mean a vendetta or a personal dislike or something? It’s not really that taxing to some degree, but I suppose when you get to my level…
It’s just– full disclosure, I have over 1k followers, at least half of them are personals, and three quarters of the RP blogs that follow me don’t even make the slightest effort to talk. Although that is a small reason I’m moving blogs, it’s mostly just because I’ve been here for a while. There’s a lot of outdated stuff. Lots of inbox things I know I’m never going to get to. Moving will be refreshing, in that sense.
But yeah. Mostly I don’t really mind when non-mutuals follow me (because I follow very very few people) but it can build up. Just depends, really. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you.
I’m probably going to be archiving this blog and moving to a new one. Obvs I’m gonna keep the URL. But it feels like there’s so much baggage here (such as at least 500 personal blogs following me, not an exaggeration) I think I need to shrug it off.
I’ll make a promo whenever I get around to finishing that up. I’m going to import my most important headcanons/worldbuilding and so on to the new blog.
I think in the next couple days I’m gonna unfollow literally everyone and rebuild my follow list from the ground up.
It reaaaaaaaaaaally does. It’s always so funny when these people will cry about people not liking their character when lol half the time the reason people don’t like them is… because…. of the way the fans act… Srsly there have been multiple times I forget how much I actually enjoy a character because of the way the fans are (I had this issue with Liara from Mass Effect once upon a time).
And it’s borderline offensive the way people act and the way you may get treated just because of an opinion regarding a fictional character. I honestly can’t even fathom bitching and whining at people who don’t like Sendak lmao. Or other characters I enjoy that are less… horrible, for lack of a worse term.
But like shit aight it’s not my fault you’re extra pressed I think half the Voltron characters are boring as shit just because you kin them or something. Go outside.
“Yes, there was depth in her. But no one would find a thing if they descended into her depths—except depth itself, as in the dark you find the dark.”— Clarice Lispector, from The Collected Stories; “The Servant,”

YOU REALLY THOUGHT YOUR LITTLE HOLOGRAM TRICK COULD WORK WITH ME?

Despite Sendak's size, he is alarmingly agile and quick to react, and it can be incredibly difficult to land a hit on him. He's just as capable as dodging you with a single side-step as he is with a backflip.
PERHAPS IT WOULD BE WORTH A TRIP TO YOUR PLANET TO SEE IF THE REST
OF YOUR KIND HAVE YOUR SPIRIT. OF COURSE, THEY WILL ALL END UP
BROKEN, JUST LIKE YOU.
The report on Sendak’s origins trace back to a planet in the Rsteria Sector, the Arhka Galaxy, Numeria Nebula known as Kariio 15-R, a desolate ice world plagued by an almost constant blizzard. As the population was sparce, colonies were extremely far and few inbetween and had little to no contact with each other outside of falling under one culture; after growing out of adolescence, children were typically sent in groups of a dozen to the nearest Empire ship (which would take a detour there once every five or so years).
Sendak was sent away earlier than expected due to causing an immense amount of problematic damage upon the facility along the lines of murdering twenty six other students as well as one of the instructors via ‘accidentally’ (supposedly) unlocking the cages to some of Kariio 15-R’s apex predators while his peers were in the same room. While it had been initially planned to have him killed, it was said the Empire could ‘shape him up’.
While he has proven to be complicated to handle (half a decade after leaving Kariio 15-R, strangling another student to death for ‘breaking a rule’, as he put it) he has, for the large part, continued to meet and surpass given standards and expectations, often going to more extreme methods to result in superior results. This being a pattern that has continued for the next few centuries.
He has had numerous complaints from others, though has never given any legitimate reason to the Empire to be questionably trustworthy. In the few situations that could have damaged his career (he has reported letting one of his previous commanders fall of a cliff for belief of deeming him ‘unfit to lead’), it had been waved off by Emperor Zarkon himself, and resulted in promotion.
After making his way into high command, he INFORMATION CLASSIFIED.

GENERAL SUBRACE: Arctic-Galra.
GENERAL SIZE: Minimum of 7'7" commonly. Females larger.
LIFESPAN: 2000 to 3000 cycles. With the correct life-extending supplements, usually containing trace amounts of quintessence, it is possible for them to live an extra 700 years at maximum. This, of course, is very expensive.
DIET: Hematophagic primarily and carnivorous. (Feeds on blood and meat.)
Zehn Khasik (more well known as the Kariians of Kariio 15-R) are a subspecies of Galra acclimated to nuclear winter levels of cold, making them easily the most well-adapted race that falls underneath the label of ‘Arctic Galra’. Despite and because of this, to the majority of the Galra, they are very much an enigma, something no doubt helped by their tendencies to stay secluded on their planet Kariio 15-R, an extremely hostile and irradiated world that kills most life not specifically mutated to thrive there.
To those that do know of them, the few key words that describe them in essence would be along the lines of: big, savage, borderline-primitive, ice-brained, rigid, fanatical, survivalists, mutants. Though some of these are quite apt, not all of them are true, not that it would quite matter considering it would be rare one sees a Kariian let alone learns enough to name call. They are fierce isolationists despite being extremely militant and loyal towards the Empire, many preferring to stay within the borders of their solar system. MORE DETAIL HERE.
HOMEWORLD: Kariio 15-R, an isolated radioactive world.
Kariio 15-R is a very small world recently (in the eyes of the galactic calendar) thrown into a new "ice age," the result of a nearby star going supernova. As a result of this explosion, Kariio 15-R suffered (and still suffers) from intense radiation, nuclear storms and ultimately after a barrage of firestorms, nuclear winter. While the Kariians did not die out they did, however, deal with the aftermath of radiation such as things along the lines of birth defects, infertility to mutations and other such issues, most of which have been bred out and/or adapted to. Suffice to say that while this is an issue lost in time to all outside the planet, to call Kariians mutants would not be at all inaccurate; they sport a commendable but lesser known radiation resistance, higher numbers usually coming at a cost of defects either physically or in the brain.
Temperatures here reach extreme colds beyond what the climate had been pre-supernova to the point where going outside without the proper gear for longer than as little as an hour can be lethal (and even then, despite preparations, it is highly advised to limit your exposure). The major and only outpost left on the planet has created ‘deities of the storm’ as a way of saying the planet’s blizzards are punishments for their sins (usually no comment when asked to elaborate what those sins even are); denizens of this planet can be incredibly fanatic about it and it is not uncommon for those (especially children) to be outright terrified of the weather itself here, especially due to the radioactive nature of these storms. Though it is undoubtedly cold, the planet retains enough of an atmosphere and oxygen to breathe for it to remain habitable, but given the slowly dying out species that inhabits the planet, whether this is short-term or not is unlikely to matter in the long run.
Extremely disliked and hated by various species around the universe that know of his name, there are numerous incredibly pricy bounties on his head calling for his head, usually on either their doorsteps or their mantles. Sendak knows of this and does not care.
He is infamous around parts of the universe known to the Galra to other species for his cruelty, known for going to extreme reaches of violence such as genocide, slaughtering children, slavery and so on, the last part being his specialty. It is said that if you are ever to come in contact with him in any way, shape or form that killing yourself is the better alternative, lest he abduct you and force you into slavery in the name of the Galra Empire.
Not much else is known about him outside of what very, very few escapees can tell you. While it is extremely unlikely to happen, there are few that have managed to get away from his flagship and the Arena and have told stories of his sadism and savagery, describing it as an “unimaginable display of pure evil”. It is not known whether all Galra stoop to this level or whether Sendak himself is a special case and finds personal enjoyment in the pain he causes others.
THE WORST WEAKNESS OF ALL. THEY VALUE THE LIVES OF OTHERS.

Sendak is a man well known to the Galra and a large part of the known (to his species) universe, and for good reason. It is a name many are familiar with; stories of his exploits are told to starry-eyed kits in hopes they will be motivated and grow to be as great a model soldier as he, and on the other side of the coin, horror stories of the horrendous and terrible things he’s done are woven from what little other species actually do know of him, as many who get that opportunity never get the chance… As most who witness his bloodthirstiness first-hand don’t live long to tell the tale.
Trained by even Lord Zarkon himself, he is incredibly skilled at what he does and once you are aware with the degree of his skill, it is no wonder why he holds his title and has for hundreds of years. His cunning is on par with his ruthlessness and it is rare a job for him goes unfinished or a battle unwon. He is the perfect epitome of what every Galra should strive to be; undying loyalty, bloodythirsty ruthlessness, remorseless and willing to do whatever it takes to spread the name and glory of the Galra Empire.
While it is easy for those who do not know him to mistake his loyalty and brutality for a lack of thorough mental capacity, make no mistake that half of what makes Sendak as terrifying as he is vicious is his intelligence. While the stereotype of his subspecies being thick-headed is not born from nothing and his guile is not a side he often expresses to the public eye, he has been known time and time again for his penchant of playing mind-games, manipulation and his enjoyment of psychological torment. He is just as likely to break a slave mentally as he is physically, and he is not known to extend much effort into reading even the most difficult of people.
Unlike many other known commanders, Sendak often devises every plan himself and with little help from the rest of his squad (save, apparently, for the assistance of his Second in Command, Lieutenant Haxus) . His success is equal parts his deviousness as it is his cruelty and extreme lack of pity or remorse (sometimes even in the case of danger to his own men, often reported to leaving those who cannot keep up behind as distractions or for no reason at all). This in turn with his rate of success makes for a rather impressive file and reinforces the idea that there is nobody better suited for this life than Sendak himself.
Though he has many reasons to boast, Sendak often remains rather modest, all things considered, and doesn’t care much to boast. Beyond his file, all that is known about him is what he has told the public. He is an adored figure to many of the Galra and hand in hand with his level of skill and his high ranking, is also known for giving motivational speeches, his key phrase being; “With the right prowess, everyone can be someone.”
PHOBIAS: N/A.
AFFLICTIONS: Observed to have a case of AHROZIAPATHY, as documented in early childhood. Unknown if this still persists as he has neglected to be reviewed, but it is greatly assumed Sendak still suffers from it.
MBTI: ESTJ PERSONALITY – (THE EXECUTIVE). Embrace the values of honesty, dedication and dignity. Give clear advice and guidance, and happily leads the way on difficult paths.
TEMPERAMENT: CHOLERIC - Aggression, energy, and/or passion, and try to instill it in others. They can dominate people of other temperaments. They do not have in-between setups, only one extreme to another. As well as being leader-like and assertive, cholerics also fall into deep and sudden depression. Essentially, they are very much prone to mood swings.
ENNEAGRAM: TYPE 1w2 - THE REFORMER - Looks to make things better, as nothing is ever seen as good enough. Perfectionistic and finicky with a desire to reform and improve; idealists who strive to make order out of the omnipresent chaos. A fine eye for detail, they are always aware of flaws in themselves, others and the situations in which they find themselves. This triggers a need to improve, which can be beneficial for all concrned, but which can also prove burdensome. Their inability to achieve the perfection they desire feeds their feelings of guilt for having fallen short, and fuels their incipient anger against an imperfect world.
POSITIVE TRAITS: SKILLED IN MOST AREAS OF IMPORTANCE. TACTICAL. UNDYINGLY LOYAL. COURAGEOUS. DETERMINED WITH AN UNQUENCHABLE DESIRE TO FOLLOW THROUGH. INTELLIGENT.
NEGATIVE TRAITS: INSENSITIVE. DIE-HARD. DISPARAGING. ARROGANT. MORALLY CORRUPT. SADISTIC AND CRUEL.
TROPES: VILLAINOUS VALOUR, DEFIANT TO THE END, BREAK THEM BY TALKING, THE CHESSMASTER, MANIPULATIVE BASTARD, PROUD WARRIOR RACE GUY, WORLD'S BEST WARRIOR, SCARY DOGMATIC ALIENS.
VIRTUES: DILIGENCE, TEMPERANCE
VICES: WRATH, PRIDE, VENGENCE
MORAL ALIGNMENT: LAWFUL EVIL, methodically takes what he wants within the limits of his code of conduct without regard for whom it hurts. He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order but not about freedom, dignity, or life.

ESTABLISHED JULY 2016. WRITTEN BY BLUE.
An independent roleplay blog for Sendak of Voltron: Legendary Defender.
I am of age and don’t really want to talk about myself much,
so let’s get this show on the road.
Why haven’t you gotten to my reply? There’s a good chance that yes, I did see it, but no, I just don’t have the energy to get to it. On the rare occasion I choose to drop what I have, you will be notified. Otherwise, I’ll get to it… Eventually. If you’re an impatient RP partner, please just write with someone else.
But you only write with ___, ___ and ___! Just because I am writing often with a specific person at the time does not mean I won’t also write with you. Please message me if you’re interested before jumping to conclusions and then complaining about this. Please.
Can I reblog ___? Do not reblog my roleplays. You may reblog drabbles, if you’d like. Regarding art, you will know by reading the description ( but if there is nothing there, go ahead ).
Can I use your headcanons? If they are relating to Sendak specifically, then no. If they are generalized headcanons regarding the Galra as a whole, then sure. Please, please, please remember to credit me, or just reblog the headcanon post itself.
Can I request a drabble? Yes! Absolutely. If you have sent a request for a drabble into my inbox and I have not responded, it is because I am going to respond to it. They do, however, take me a while, so please be patient, but chances are I will get to it at some point.
This is super long, convoluted and completely unnecessary. I know! I doubt anybody is even going to read this. This is mostly here so if someone does happen to ask me these questions, instead of explaining myself again, I can be like, hey, go look at my rules page! And then this will be here. It just makes me feel better. :(

PRE-KERBEROS. PRE SEASON 1
Triumph or death. Death or glory. Life in the Empire is not an easy one, though Sendak lives for nothing else. Serving as High Commander of the Third Fleet, Commander Sendak is revered to his people and hated by everyone else. There is no end to what he wouldn’t do in the name of glory to the Empire.

MID-VOLTRON. SEASON 5 ONWARD
Sendak returns to the Empire once more. In the midst of vicious infighting, he is dead-set on claiming what is rightfully his— the privilege of being named the new Galran Emperor.

MID-VOLTRON. PRE SEASON 5
Canon divergent verse where Sendak is rescued by the Empire instead of spending about 4 seasons missing in action. Though he’s still in fairly rough shape, he’s back to working as Emperor Zarkon’s loyal Right Hand.

BANISHED. MOSTLY PRE SEASON 3
Crawling his way back to the Empire after crash-landing on an alien world, Sendak is promptly banished for his failure. Furious after being exiled from the purpose his entire life had revolved around, he turns to the Paladins and offers them information in exchange for shelter. Despite his poor moral code, he seems relatively honest about his intentions there and fully admits that spite plays a bigger part than wanting to do the “right” thing.

Becoming Emperor only started with lighting the fires of the Kral Zera after Lotor's defeat, but Sendak's true reign began after the fall of Voltron. With the heart of the coalition destroyed and Sendak's forces growing, he begins to raze the universe of any trace of rebel activity he can find. Their defeat will not end in slavery, but only in death.

POST-CRYO. POST SEASON 1
After crash-landing on a planet he affectionately refers to as a “cesspool wasteland”, Sendak is suffering both from the aftermath of space-sickness à la a cracked cryo-pod as well slavery under the hands of the native race. While it’s a temporary condition at best, he feels he is only alive by sheer rage and rage alone.

PRISONER. PRE SEASON 2
Rather than being shoved into cryostasis, Sendak is imprisoned after failing to capture the Castle of Lions. No stranger to interrogation and inordinate amounts of pain, he proves less than willing to talk and incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to crack. Despite his circumstances, it apparently doesn’t stop him from trying to manipulate his way out.

After one-too-many failures, Commander Sendak is exiled from the Empire. Humiliated and angry, he gathers as much sensitive and classified information as he can (out of sheer spite) and flees to a planet named ‘Sigma Rhada 6’, unbeknownst to the Empire or anyone else. Now with a bounty on his head that could set you up for a thousand lifetimes by a hundred different races, the ex-Commander has all but apparently disappeared.

TALON. SUBVERSE OF IN EXILE
After trying and failing to cope with his fall from grace, Sendak turns to bounty hunting on the planet of Sigma Rhada 6, the homeworld of many kingpins and the center of a hundred dozen drug trades. With a new set of armor and a mask with a pre-existing history to hide his identity, he goes under the guise of a once-thought-dead bounty hunter known as Talon, and is dubbed as a “local hero” to the poor and downtrodden.

KIT.
Sendak is a small kit, either on his homeworld of Kariio 15-R or off of it. While young, inquisitive and predatory by nature, he is much more prone to running away or crying in the face of aggressive confrontation than biting fingers off. Despite growing up to be one of the most fearsome warlords in the Galra Empire, he is quite pitiful.

CONTINUANCE. WITH ARDENTSOLDIER
Branches off their Prosthesis verse, where Sendak makes contact with Haxus in the Castle of Lions after escaping his cryo-pod and making his way back to the Empire with plans of freeing him from the Paladins, with or without casualties. ( Preferably many of them. )

LOST. WITH TECHSPECIALISTOFVOLTRON
Post-cryo, Sendak meets Pidge in the trash nebula ( based in Season 2 ) and they agree to work together until both of them can find their respective groups. Sendak proves to be something of a really poor influence on an easily manipulated little girl, despite how he serves as her protector as they jump from planet to planet.

SOULMATE. WITH TECHSPECIALISTOFVOLTRON
In a universe where every living being starts life with dreams of their pre-determined other half, Sendak finds his over six hundred years later, except instead of a Galra, his soulmate just so happens to be an alien child who hails from the other side of the universe.

CHAMPION. WITH PINKBONDED
After taking the Castle of Lions, Sendak slaughters the rest of the rest of Team Voltron and takes Princess Allura as a ‘trophy’ of their victory. Allura is promptly forced into fighting in the gladiatorial arena, and proves to be a far more vicious Champion than Shiro ever was.
Keep in mind I am strictly ship exclusive ( this is not up for debate; it takes a lot of development before anything can happen ) and multi-ship.
